Registration

Section 1

 Requirements and Procedures for the Registration of Domestic horses

Animals conceived and born in the UAE, will be accepted for registration subject to the following requirements:

a) The dam of the horse is registered with the Emirates Arabian Horse Society and all transfers of ownership have been recorded by the Registry in accordance with Rule 3.

b) The sire of the horse is registered with the Emirates Arabian Horse Society and all transfers of ownership have been recorded by the Registry in accordance with Rule 3 or, in the event the horse is conceived through the use of imported semen in accordance with Section 6 of this rule, the sire is a purebred Arabian horse from an acceptable source as defined by WAHO.

c) The requirements of Section 4,5,6 (artificial insemination) and/or Section 14 (embryo transfer) of this Rule has been fulfilled.

d) An Application for Registration, on a form provided by the Registry (Appendix ), has been completed, signed by the appropriate recorded owner (or by his or her representative) and filed with the Registry.

e) The blood type of the horse, the horse's sire and the horse's dam has been placed on permanent record with the Emirates Arabian Horse Society. The horse must qualify as an offspring of the stated sire and dam through blood type testing.

f) The registration fee for domestic horses has been paid.
