Section 2

 Requirements and Procedures for the Registration of Horses Imported in Utero

A horse imported in utero into and born in the Unites Arab Emirates may be registered if the following requirements are met:

a) The dam of the horse is registered in the Emirates Arabian Horse Society's records.

b) The sire of the subject horse is a purebred Arabian from an acceptable source as defined by WAHO.

c) An Application for registration, on a form provided by the EAHS (Appendix), has been completed, signed by the appropriate recorded owner (or by his or her representative) and filed with the Registry.

d) The sire's blood type has been placed on permanent record with the Registry.

e) The dam's blood type has been placed on permanent record with the Registry.

f) The blood type of the horse has been placed on permanent record with the Registry. The horse must qualify as an offspring of the stated sire and dam through blood type testing.

g) The sire is listed in the stud book or annual supplement to the stud book of the source country where the mating occurs.

h) A statement of breeding service has been provided to the EAHS.

i) The registration fee for horses imported in utero has been paid.
